Riya Got Late For The Tution


Riya was late for her tution class. She had missed the bus and had to walk all the way. She knew her teacher, Mrs. Sharma, was very strict and would not tolerate any excuses. She hoped to sneak in quietly and join the other students.
 But as soon as she entered the classroom, she heard a loud voice.
 "Riya, where have you been? Do you think this is a joke? You are wasting your time and money by being late. Come here right now!"
 Riya felt a chill run down her spine. She saw Mrs. Sharma standing at the front of the class, holding a ruler in her hand. She looked angry and impatient. Riya walked slowly towards her, feeling the eyes of her classmates on her.
 Mrs. Sharma grabbed Riya's ear and pulled it hard. Riya winced in pain and tried to free herself.
 "Ow, ow, ow, please let go, ma'am. I'm sorry, I missed the bus. It won't happen again, I promise."
 "Sorry? You are sorry? That's not enough, young lady. You need to learn a lesson. You will stay after the class and write 'I will not be late for tution' 100 times on the blackboard. And if I catch you being late again, you will get a worse punishment. Do you understand?"
 "Yes, ma'am. I understand. Please let go of my ear. It hurts."
 Mrs. Sharma released Riya's ear and pushed her towards her seat. Riya rubbed her ear and felt tears in her eyes. She wished she had never been late for tution.
